For current and prospective UCSB eligible participants, this page is designed to provide you with information on eligibility, an overview of steps in the resale process, and additional information on the homebuying process.

Eligibility

Individuals who are eligible to purchase resale campus housing are those that are currently listed on the Campus Housing Waitlist. For the Campus Waitlist policy please refer to the EVC website. New faculty who would like to be added to the Waitlist, please complete the
Resale Home Interest Form

Eligible individuals can provide and update their preferences by completing the Housing Preferences Form and emailing it to sbha-info@ucsb.edu

Resale Process

When a resale opportunity becomes available, eligible participants from the waitlist will be contacted if the home is within their listed preferences. If no preferences have been provided, all resale opportunities will be presented to the eligible participant. You do not need to complete a pre-approval for a loan until you are contacted to purchase a home in our program. However, it is recommended you reach out to a lender to understand qualifying and the price range that suits you.
